Listens to Scripture as a friend. Holds questions long enough for an answer to come. This is Devoted faithfulness, expressed through the contemplative mode. The heart organised around faithfulness to what God has revealed. Energy turns inward and upward into reading, prayer, and understanding.

The turn is not away from the gift but back toward its source. The lens shows the pattern; Christ in you is the thing seen. When the two are confused the framework has failed; when they are kept distinct, the movement becomes worship.
